How to get to Noosa

Flights

  • The nearest domestic airport to Noosa is Maroochydoore (Sunshine Coast) airport.
    • It is approximately 1:40 flight from Sydney
    • Approximately 2:30 flight from Melbourne
    • Maroochydoore Airport is mainly serviced by Low cost carriers Virgin Blue & Jetstar. These flights can be bought independently, or in some case they can be packaged into an international itinerary with a travel agent.
    • Maroochydoore airport has shuttle buses to Noosa meeting every flight. It takes about 30mins to transfer on to Noosa
  • The nearest international airport to Noosa is Brisbane, a two hour drive away. There are more flights to North America from Sydney airport there are some direct flights from LA to Brisbane
  • Bisbane Airport also has more regular domestic flights from Qantas, Virgin Blue & Jetstar

Transfers to Noosa from Airports

Pre-paid bookings from Maroochydore to and from Noosa are essential but from Brisbane tickets can either be pre-booked or purchased on a walk-on/next available basis.  

Getting around Noosa

You won't need a car unless you want to explore the region. Noosa has ample buses and taxis to get everyone around. If you are staying around Hastings St - you have most activities and venues on your doostep and you can walk everywhere. Sunshine Beach is another option - which is about a $8 cab fare to Hastings St
